![]() Follow this link to learn more about Construct 3! Other than that, there’s a wide variety of material for you to study in the form of both written and video tutorials. ![]() The paid version extends the compatibility to Android and iOS devices, as well as Windows, Mac, and Linux computers. Its only downside is that even if you are knowledgeable about game or app development, its interface doesn’t let you create new lines of code or change the ones that exist, so everything falls on the app.Ĭonstruct 3’s free version lets you develop some amazing browser games, including those for Window’s app store, Facebook games, and of course, for Google Chrome. That is to say, most of its tools feature the drag-and-drop feature. One of the best game design software around, Construct 3 is one of the few that don’t require you to know anything at all about programming to start off. Which of the best game design software do you regularly use?.Game Maker Studio (recently, some of it's limitations were removed, free version can publish to Windows only). GDEVELOP (FREE HTML5 Game Engine) (Publish to Android, iOS - via Intel XDK, HTML5 and Desktop)ģ. GoDOT engine (has option to publish to HTML5) alsoĢ. So for people like me who want to publish to Flash, Stencyl is it. Preview takes a lot of time (unsderstandable as it's converting from Haxe to AS3 - SWF) Not much resources to learn more from (other than SunriseKingdom's videos, there is not much).Ģ. The only downside I see about Stencyl are:ġ. webgl will be supported in 5, and it's already multiplatform, lots of resources to learn from.Īs for Stencyl, you already know it's very easy to get started, and gives free flash publishing with ability to earn money. Unity 2D is the best, because programming makes a big difference (also, when you're fluent with C#, you can use it for other purposes too), Unity's animation system is quite awesome. I tried it's free version once, but I didn't find it that interesting (my personal view only), I couldn't afford it anyway. But unless you have a paid version, all you can do is read how good it is. I've read some very good things about it, and the games made with it (in Scirra Gallery) are amazing. Leave Pros and Cons aside, Construct 2 has unusable free version (by that I mean you can NOT publish commercially and are limited to 100 events, 4 layers in free edition). ![]()
